Canadian dog trainer, Brad Pattison, has a training school that costs about $6000, I believe, to attend, and which graduates trainers with the designation C.E.T. According to one of his recent Facebook announcements, he is planning to expand those schools into the United States. He is the same guy whose show was dropped from Animal Planet (In the Dog House), although he still appears on Slice in Canada (At the End of My Leash). There is a video circulating on the Internet, which I have seen, that shows him slapping a dog repeatedly in the face, and there is another that shows him really yanking a dog up off his front feet, but they are re-recordings, I believe, as his videos seemed get pulled from YouTube as soon as there is criticism implying cruelty. There is a movement to get him off Canadian TV, and his response in his home country is to threaten people with lawsuits for defamation because they have publicly objected to methods they perceive as cruel and unnecessary. At least one Canadian member of IPDTA has been sued. If anyone here is planning to attend any school to become a dog trainer, please do your homework!

If you witness cruelty, no matter who the perpetrator is, please report it to local humane law enforcement.
