Potty Training When It's Raining

Use an umbrella for you and keep some old towels handy by the door to dry him off.  It's not uncommon for puppies to not want to go out in the rain.  I have a ten year old dog who would rather wait than get wet. lol  With a puppy you have to perservere as miserable as that may be.

 I finally got him to go after about 7 trips outside...too bad I'd left my umbrella at work, but being soaked to the bone was worth it because after he finally went and he saw me turn into a crazy lady giving him ear scratches and good boys while dancing around like a fool something may have clicked.  The next potty break was less than half the time of the ones before and he did major business for me.  The neighbors probably think I'm some kind of raving lunatic, but I really don't care...Tyson's going potty outside! LOL

 I feel your pain!! I spent 2.5 hours last night in the middle of a horrible storm in and out of the house, completely soaked with the puppy (though, I'm just puppy-sitting!) trying to out wait him.  In we'd go... straight to a crate, cause I didn't trust him.... back out a half our later.  We were up til 1am to get that last pee, but he did it and boy did he know he done'gud.... we all needed towels, though :)

 Jackie gave great advice and I'm glad you got the potty you were waiting for!  They will get it soon, it just sucks while dealing with it... but, man is it worth it!

I house trained 2 dogs in rainy season... I really feel your pain!!

But hey, he seems to be doing ok. Mine STILL make a fuss when it's raining out... :(
