Someone watch and tell me what this behavior is.

When Finn and Max play Benny barks at them almost constantly.  If I pick him up he is calmer, but still wants to bark.  When I first got Finn, Benny and Finn would play all the time and now that rarely happens.  Now it is play between Max and Finn and Benny barks at them.  What does that mean?  Is that just Benny's form of play?  Is that him joining in?

(Excuse the Friends episode playing in the background)

Not sure what you actually posted as a link but what is there isn't a functioning link

Hmmm, ok I'll have to play around with it to figure it out.

I haven't seen the video, but Toots will also do this. I call her the "no more fun" police.

My guess is that Benny feels a bit intimidated by the larger dogs now that Finn is older and less puppy like.  His barking may be a combination of frustration and excitement.  Maybe Benny has been roughed up a bit by the bigger dogs and has decided to stay on the sidelines.  Twister does this sometimes and I'm glad actually because he's not as quick as he used to be.  I've started being more cautious with Twister but he has still suffered a broken tooth in a collision with Belle's head. :(

ETA to say I too didn't see the video.

I could see the video.  It reminds me of big boy Buddy.  He doesn't want to get in the mix of the hooligan's play, but he does want to be a part of the action.  Benny seems to be the referee of the game and towards the end looks at you as to say...."they should stop now, right?"

LOL.  I just wanted to make sure this wasn't like an angry behavior or anything.  But what you all have said, makes perfect sense.  Little guy just doesn't want to get "ruffed" up.  :)  Thanks for the help!

I just wanted to add my Kali or Kristyn's Frankie will do this also.. and they also got dubbed the 'no more fun' police.

However, Astra will do this also, but her's is more along the 'cheerleader' or 'announcer' type of barking...
