Hi all,
I will try to keep this short, but I will appreciate any help you can give! We have an intact whippet bitch who had lived and played with 2 other dogs happily for the past few months (a kees (neutered) and a rescue sheepdog/lab/poodle (spayed girl)) until recently. During her 2nd heat, we bought a male whippet puppy that she pretty much adopted as her own- very protective, interested in him, etc. Anyway, at this time she started with somewhat random attacks on the rescue girl dog, and they keep escalating even though she has been out of her heat for a few days. So.. we are wondering.. is this something that is going to pass or what can we do to get these attacks to stop? Right now I am pretty quick to stop her attacks, put her in her crate, and keep her there for a bit. When she comes out she is pretty wary of the rescue girl- herds her and keeps an eye on her, until boom! Random attack again!
so, anything to help would be much appreciated! thanks
