So, Helo has been with me for almost 2 months now, and he's reached 12 pounds. He's a labrador/cocker spaniel mix. There are no feeding issues, and he's housebroken where he goes only on the pads.
I have the okay to take him outside, so I've been taking him to the local dog park. He does really well with other dogs. He sniffs and is curious, but mostly keeps to himself. He's not overly hyper, and doesn't bark or growl. Walking has gotten better over the last few days. I walk and he walks with me, with my having to occasionally give the lease a slight tug, but we keep moving.
I've also taught him to sit and also to give me his paw.
Teething and soft biting are still issues, but I just keep shoving toys in his mouth. He's a little over 3 months at this point, so he's teething like crazy.
I'm also trying to stop him from jumping up on me all the time when he's excited or knows I have treats. I'm assuming most of this is normal puppy behavior?
I don't post often, but have enjoyed reading through the various posts here.
