How much??

Kcals have always been just calories to the layman. You only see a dstinction when science types are involved and they are actually talking about units of energy. When you feed that much kibble daily, I'd strongly suggest you switch to WEIGHT, to calculate how much he's eating. Cups are an okay gauge when it's maybe one to four cups at a time, but the difference between your cup, and the one used to figure kcals per cup (VOLUME) by the manufacturer, becomes greater the more cups you feed. I've found that generally (but not always), the VOLUME scale is skewed higher, so if you go by kcals per cup you are feeding more kcals than you think you are. To get the kcals by WEIGHT of what you are feeding, measure out his daily portion and weigh it, then convert to kilograms. This gives a more accurate picture of what Gibby's actually eating. The weight measurement is correct; the volume scale is just an estimate for the consumer's convenience. Good luck!
