I know I sound like broken record but I use the Sea Pet Gold. For good reason - dosing ten dogs (and a foster) I'd go through a LOT of something that gives me less bang for the buck.
When you evaluate the cost of a fish oil product, look at EPA+DHA per serving. Sea Pet Gold liquid has almost 1200 mg per 1/4 tsp. That's a therapeutic dose for everything up to about a 75 pound dog.
You could go every other day or just a couple times a week to maintain the same level that your vet is recommending (probably about 350 to 500 mg EPA+DHA). Zhi gets another product, in fact, because her dose would be so small and so infrequent I'd start forgetting it.
So a bottle divided among my ten plus one (minus Zhi) dogs lasts a month.
There are a few other products that are similar - Nordic has one, I know, because one month I was getting something from a store that had it, and I added it in to save shipping rather than buying from Sea Pet. The results were the same.
The results are NOT the same when I use typical drug store products. For one thing, I have to give somewhere between four to six capsules for my dogs that need the fish oil therapeutically to maintain the same EPA+DHA levels.
