Judge Dorothy Nickles

aww. I am hearing she has only days left and is hospice care. It's sad.

She was one of the few judges I have ever personally shown for and I was TERRIFIED...but she put me at ease and was very nice and encouraging and gave me handling tips in the ring in a very nice way.

My vet is apparently very close with her and went to school with her I think! He will be so sad...

I Regret to say I have just left the hospital and have been asked by
Dr.Steve
Keating to tell everyone they are moving her to hospice today and has just
days left,
She is 99 ...

She is a Texas Legend, They should make a Movie about her someday and the
Gov. of Texas should make sure she is recognized someday for her Fabulous
life,
The Fort Worth shows will Never be the same , I am Personally grateful to
have
had her be a part of my Life,

My Miniature Pinscher Yahoo list just posted that she passed today.

It was an honor to show to her, and I wish I had had more chances to do so. The show world will miss her.

I got word while at my vet just a bit ago, from a tech (my doc was bedside with Dorothy)...Dorothy was his grade school teacher...that she passed away, this afternoon. Greatly missed, all my condolences to those left behind.

Rest in peace, Dorothy Nickles. What an impact on the dog world. Hugs to all who loved her.
