    Premier 2009

    Anyone going???

I will be there all three days (Fri - Sun) this year. Teddi will dock jump on Friday, and on Sat if it does not conflict with agility. If she qualifies for Finals she will play on Sunday.

I have Belle entered in AGI and AGII agility, and I will be running the Cardigan in AGI too.

I have two friends in my tent space with me. One will do agility and dock jumpin with her lab, the other just dock jumping. I am looking forward to it. It should be fun. Hopefully we will have "less" rain this year.

You're lucky to be so close!

I'm not going this year, but perhaps next.  The Alaskan Klee Kai always have a specialty as part of Premier, in addition to the top ten and other events.  There are a ton of AKK people going -- I'm crossing my fingers that Kaiser makes top ten for 2009 and we'll be there next year.

Instead I'll be doing not one, but two agility trials that weekend.  Stick out tongue  I'm going to drive to Minneapolis to do a Teacup trial on Friday and then come back home to run Luke in NADAC Saturday & Sunday.

Have fun & good luck!!  I'm jealous about the dock diving -- I'd love to try it with Luke!

Yes, I'll be there!  I'm going for fun.  I didn't enter Nikon in conformation b/c we're tight on cash and I chose a WDA show this weekend.  I was going to compete in Dog Sport with Kenya, but CherCar had a trial a few weeks ago so we entered that and got those titles out of the way.

Are the UAD people doing the second pool for beginners again this year?  I want to see if Nikon will do it.  Didn't they let you pay $10 to play at it with your dog last year?  We're going to the event in Shelby on Sunday too.

Yes they are having 2 pools HOWEVER it is a second competition pool. Too many entries. I do believe they plan to have the second pool open between splashes for people to try. I am hoping between "all" the splashes on Saturday I can find 2 to work with my schedule and they will let me slip around. It is a nominal feel per day to play in the pool I believe that is right. Maybe I will meet you this year!

Cher Car in St Johns??? I used to train with them when they were in Lansing, that is where Maxine did her training. I really really liked them.

Shelby event, at Bark A Bout?? I am going on Saturday, I thought it was Sterling Heights but they may be one and the same who knows.

I'm going!  Honor and Eli are both entered in Saturday and Sunday's rally obedience trials, and I'm handling both of them at the AKK Specialty in non-licensed competition, the Best of Breed - Altered class.  I'm also handling one of Honor and Eli's breeder's females on Friday's show and at the Specialty.  It's going to be so much fun!

Cool I may have to hunt you down if you have a few moments to spare!  I've never done dock diving or put any dog in a pool, lol, and could sure use some pointers.  I supposed I need to get Nikon transfered to a floating toy.  He will like the floating Kong on the rope.

Yep, CherCar in St. John's.  They had a Dog Sport trial so that people could get some titles in before the Premier.  I'm not planning on titling any further since Kenya only has done ob and not the bitework, so I figured if I got it out of the way I can watch the Premier rather than compete.

The Shelby Twp event is the Bark About I think, this Sat and Sun and I'll go on Sunday since we're showing in Union, Il on Sat.

Right now DH and I are planning to set up our pop ups if we can on the far side of the agility building, where we can see the pool area, down from the outdoor conformation area. "IF" we can when we get there. I figure doing both agility and dock jumping that is "centrally" located. We will have 2 pop ups since we will be housing up to 6 dogs in our area. Liesje I really hope we connect. I still can't believe we were in the same area two years ago and didn't know it LOL I remember you took and posted a pic and Maxine was in the background.

I would love to help you with Nikon, if I can't perhaps DH can he is good too!

Too bad we won't be there at the same time this weekend. I am meeting up with Lisa on Sat too.

I hope I meet other I doggers there too!!!

    Such a small world.

What a weekend!!! And the weather cooperated too!!

I looked for Liesje, but I was SO busy running back and forth from the pool to the agility area, I probably walked right past her.

Belle got to lure course on Friday, she was so happy. She qualified in all four of her agility runs. She didn't place they had over 12 dogs in her division with perfect scores so you had to be FAST. Oh well. My friend qualified in all 4 of her runs to, and she was first place in both her AGII runs.

In dock jumping Teddi jumped a 14'10" to solidify her finals spot. Unfortunately in the finals she got really distracted, so she didn't jump as good as I know she can. She still jumped 10+ which is another junior jump so I was very pleased. She earned her 2009 UAD Junior jumper title, and got needed points for her UKC junior jumper championship. I just don't know how they do that so I am in the dark how many she needs. LOL

Maxine was the best cheerleader at the show!!! All my dogs are very tired today.

Awesome!!  Way to go, it sounds like so much fun!

I'm looking forward to hearing Lisa's report -- I know that her breeder had a VERY good weekend and it must have been a lot of fun to be part of it!

I saw a group of Klee (sorry I don't know the breed name) and thought of Lisa too. I wish I had met up with her too.

They let us enter Nikon in the drop-in, so we had several turns and whoever was waiting basically told us what to do.  We went two times and took 3-4 turns each time.  So we did keep very busy!  We also watched a lot of the diving competition, hung out at the Dog Sport tent, and did some vendor shopping.  We never even went inside the buildings!

    Maxs Mom
I saw a group of Klee (sorry I don't know the breed name) and thought of Lisa too. I wish I had met up with her too.

Aww, thanks for thinking of me!  I wish I had found you as well, I tried to spot a Max/Belle/Teddi trio by the dock diving and agility, but never found you.  I'm glad to hear it was such a successful weekend for you!

My AKK had a great weekend!  Honor and Eli both qualified in Rally on Saturday, and Eli beat out Honor with a 94, a good run in my opinion for his first ever Rally trial!  And they both qualified again on Sunday, which gave Honor her URO1 (YAY!!!), and Eli beat her again with a 97!  Eli took 2nd place in Best of Altered in Saturday's specialty, and Honor won Best of Altered - Female!

Their breeder had a great weekend as well.  One of her own dogs won BoB on Friday, a dog from her lines won BoB on Saturday, and there were big wins for more of her lines owned by others in the Specialty.

It was tons of fun, I can't wait for next year.
