    how much should I feed?

Kira is 12 weeks and 20lbs.  The one bag (which we're down to using at a ratio of 25%) says 2 3/4 cups a day.  The bag of the newer stuff she's on says 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 cups.  Right now, she probably gets closer to 2 3/4 plus training treats and some canned food in her Kong at bedtime.  She doesn't look too thin as of yet, and seems to have a waist....but she will go over and try to eat Misty's food if she has the chance.  Should I try giving her 3 cups a day?  Misty eats about 2 to 2 1/2, depending on who feeds her, haha.  But she's an adult and has maintained the same weight for quite a while now.

I'd up her to 3 C and monitor.  It's said that you have OVERfed a pup if after eating her tummy is bigger than her ribcage.

when we got her, her tummy was SOOO fat.  She had been free-fed.  I think I will bump her up to 3 cups.

I'd up the food and see how she does, reducing if she starts to feel chubby. I tend to feed a little less than what is recommended on the bag, and have always had good luck with that.

That said, some pups are always hungry. Grimmy is a food hound and I'm pretty sure he's never tasted any of his meals. He maintains a proper weight though, so we stay with his portion

off topic, but I love how all your dogs are the same color!

I think the guidelines are a place to start and adjust up or down from there.  The problem with pups is that they hit so darned many growth spurts when they NEED more food.
