    Healthy Treats for sensitive tummy

Can anyone recommend a treat for a dog with a sensitive belly.  He tends to get a tummy ache if I give him more than a few treats.  I clipped his nails last night and had a handful of treats to feed him for being a good boy.  He got an upset belly during the night and woke me needing to out. This is the 2nd time this has happened in a couple of weeks.  I need to find new treats.

"sensitive bellies" are usually, not always, caused by owners who feed the same thing every day, day after day, until the dog can't tolerate anything else. Or, more rarely, the dog can't tolerate a specific ingredient in the treat in which case only trial and error will find a safe treat.

I use cheese, cooked chicken breast, cooked venison stew meat, and Natural Balance food roll.  All are cut into piece smaller than a pea, so even if the dog gets 100 treats, that's like less than 1/4 cup of food.

I also use the Natural Balance food rolls as my main training treat for agility.  I have yet to notice any stomach upset from either dog from using these, and Kaiser in particular gets a lot.  It's just dog food, so you don't have to worry about it being too rich for their system.  If I feed too many liver treats (Bil-Jac or freeze dried), I do notice that it affects them.

The NB food rolls are great.  They cut up really nicely and then I just keep baggies of the cut up pieces in the freezer.  I feed them straight out of the freezer, no need to thaw (they don't really freeze hard, anyhow).

We have used the NB food rolls for treats and that works fine, maybe I should go back to it.  I dont think it's an issue with him receiving the same meal day after day. I have always fed them both a rotation diet until November.  Sam always had med to soft poo and this grain free kibble I now feed,  gives them both good output.  I only rotate the mix-in now.

Last week I gave him a recreational bone to chew on.  That night he woke me up 3 times to go poo. The next night twice then he was normal again.  Over the past 6 or 8 months he has slowly lost interest in some of his favorite treats.  He used to love bully sticks, now he won't touch them.  He used to like yogurt for a mix - in, not any more...he would rather skip that meal than eat the yogurt.  He has also started not eating his pig ears when I give them one.  He will nibble on about 1/4 of it and he's done.  So now, he doesnt get many treats other than chicken.  Our mix -ins are now only rotated between crockpot beef/chicken and sometimes I scramble eggs for them.
