It is not a new product, newer for us but not new. I knew Diamond manufactured it when I was doing a search.
As far as it only takes one batch? Diamond had the recall in 2006, and since then have put into place more testing practices, settled the class action lawsuit and never hid from what they had done. They responded quickly too and for the record I am not obsolving them of wrong doing, but I do think they have emerged a better company because of what happened.
In the 2007 HUGE recall alot of companies got caught, including Blue Buffalo, Iams, Science diet and Purina to name a few.
Taste of the Wild is made with 99.9% US products. Is grain free, which, unless cross contamination happens, is safe from aflatoxin, which in my opinion can happen at anyplace that uses grain.
Now, unless you grow it, cook it and serve it yourself you run the risk of harming not only your pets but your family with anything. Anyone want some peanut butter? or how about last years tomato's?
Everything comes with risks.
