Actually, Jewlieee, they are awfully slack, in my experience, at verifying "herding heritage" particularly in dogs of unknown parentage. But I've known English Bulldogs to be tested (and pass), and numerous other breeds of nebulous herding genetics. For instance, if a dog shows up and demonstrates the ability to go through the motions, the dog will be passed as a fait accompli without closely investigating the historical background.
