New food = more shedding?

• New food = more shedding? misstrouble Posted : 1/9/2009 1:35:05 PM Sam's been on Diamond for a few weeks now, and I've noticed he's shedding more. He's a Lab, :Lab's shed a LOT, but this is more then the norm thou. I think it's the food, but I know I can't switch him off just yet, next bag will be Diamond Naturals......Is it ok that he's shedding more? Will he be 'ok' for a few more weeks until this bag is out? • brookcove Posted : 1/9/2009 3:07:39 PM He will be fine.  He switched from a mystery meat formula to beef, right?  Beef is high omega 6s and upping his fish oil (or adding it) will help.  But it's not harming him any short term, it's just annoying, I know.  You might want to be prepared to go ahead and plan on supplementing fish oil at a higher level even when you switch foods.
