    Ben just had his first ever...

     ...entirely homecooked meal.  And he liked it.  A lot.  An awful lot.  LOL.

    He had a char (fish) fillet, a bit of pureed steamed sweet potato and carrot (threw in the carrot because there were a few sticks that needed eating up), an egg including shell and about half a tablespoon of greek yogurt.

    I know that's probably not perfectly balanced but I'm just trying to get in the habit of not relying almost totally on kibble (he's always had toppers) before transitioning to raw, and also I want a bit of experience really cooking for him in case he doesn't do well on raw.  I will fine tune as I go but I've always heard that you can feed a dog almost anything for a little while before nutrient deficiencies come into play. 

    On the basis of tonight, though, he's not missing the kibble!

     I know when I started giving the dogs raw meats Lillie looks at me like Im nuts when I give kibble.

    Homecooked is da bestest !!!!   I only get 1/3rd homecuked - my mommy doesn't trust herself even doe i tell her iz ok.    Oh well - maybe I can learn dem saddy eyes better !    Eat them nummies up good !    Pranzer.
