I am SO happy with Belle. This past weekend was Belle's 5th AKC agility trial and she advanced to excellent in the jumpers!!!! It was only her 2nd trial where she did more than one day. She has been so good. She makes it look like "I" know what I am doing. We also got our first open standard "Q". We had an issue with the weaves on Saturday. I was rushing her and she popped out 2 times. So I took a breath, reorganized and had a good weave. That set her up for good weaves on Sunday. We did not "Q" on Saturday but a win and a "Q" on Sunday AM in the excellent made up for it.
I was concerned when we moved up to excellent time would become a problem. Belle is not as fast as she should be and can be. Sometimes she is sometimes she is not, but she was within the time allowed what a good dog.
Now that we are hitting our A frame contact more consistently I have to be careful where she is when I tell her to stop. At first I was late on the command so I started being considerably earlier. Now I am too early and she stops at the top. I need to find the "happy medium". I would also like her to move faster across the dogwalk. She just trots. I need to study the videos and see what "I" can do to improve. I am sure it is a handler thing!
Thanks for letting me brag!
