    Verve, Dehydrated Raw Dog Food?

Has anyone heard of this food, made by The Honest Kitchen? We have samples at the store, one is chicken and the other is beef, veggies and fruits. You have to mix it with boiled or filtered water. Just wondering if anyone has heard of or tried this food?

I fed my guys Honest Kitchen for 2-3 months.  They loved it & did very well on it.  I eventually chose to feed raw, as it is, imo, a more natural way of feeding.  When we travel, I still use Honest Kitchen products, because they are so easy to travel with.

I feed the Honest Kitchen Embark and Thrive as a mixer w/ my dog's regular kibble.  I like having a non-processed component to their diet, so it's a winner in my book.    (I use the embark and thrive b/c they are the highest protein formulas)

Great! Thanks for the feedback. I will probably mix the sample bag in with their kibble and see how they do. Food change doesn't bother Maggie at all but Teddi is always iffy at how the new food will affect him. He does so well on Canidae but I don't want to always feed just that so I am trying new things.

I also use the embark and thrive with good results ;)

I tried the Thrive recently and of my 3 dogs- only one would eat it and she ended up with pancreatitis :(

Try a small bag or get a couple of samples before you dive in and order a big tub of it.  Thankfully, HK was really nice about returning the unused food (10lb).

I've tried samples of most of HK's stuff and none of my dogs were very interested. It is very high in vegetable content and low in protein and doesn't really resemble a real raw diet.

I use Force and Embark regularly. Our new foster is actually eating Force because he turns up his nose at all other foods, and I needed to get some food in him to keep his metabolism going. (He is crazy overweight at the moment.)

All of my dogs love the HK products, and they also east Orijen kibble, and EVO canned. For my financial and time constraints the HK products fit really well into our feed lineup.
