    Freshpet select

I found this in my local grocery store.  Opinions good or bad?   It looks pretty good to me except the crude protien value is 10%?  I don't understand that part,  if it's 70% meat..   With coupons, I'm going to add this to my dogs' diet.  With alot of coupons I just may switch.  lol

It looks pretty good.  The protein value you see is water-inclusive.  If compared on a dry matter basis, the actual protein level is 37%, and fat level is 22%.

Ok I see... I figured (was hoping) that there was an explanation for it.  I'm excited!  I finally have a non-kibble, minimally processed food alternative right in my grocery store.  Big Smile

    The 3# ones were $5.99

1 1/2?#----$3.99  I don't remember the actual weight of these smaller ones

    6#------$9.99

I had 2  $3 off any size coupons so I picked up 2 small tubes for $.99 to try.  My dogs LOVE it.   I love that it's at my Giant Eagle!

We've tried these since our giant eagle tends to spit our free coupons at the register so we tried them.  I wouldn't feed them exclusively just because of the shear volume I would need to feed, but Sammy goes nuts when I add some to his kibble.  It seems a little soft for use as treats, though.  I think you are pretty close on the prices.  Our store only carries one flavor I think - chicken.

Just thought this might be useful information for yall. You can print your own coupon and use as many as you like. My dog goes crazy for this stuff and it cuts my cost alot.

I got a sample of these at an expo, and Iove them. Because of the cost I use them as treats (like a NB roll), and the dogs go bananas for them.

I used to buy it occasionally to put on top of Bubblegums kibble IF I didn't cook any real meat for her.  She liked it.

Right before she died... after she did not eat for many days.... FreshPet is the food that I was able to get her to eat....I bought her 2 big rolls of it...and two small because I had 4 coupons....she ate a little of it many times that day...but then she choked and coughted and urped it all up because of her megaesophagus............and that is when we gave up.  But if we could have figured a way to keep it down...she loved it and was very happy to eat it.

I too would not feed it exclusively but its good to add to her diet.
