I have Jake, a 2 yr. old golden retriever/collie mix and Zoe, a 4 yr. old mini dachsie. Both do great on Canidae all life stages. I want to rotate another kibble into their diet every few months. In the past I have given Zoe Innova, but I think that has the same main meat source as Canidae. According to dogfoodanalysis.com, I should rotate a different main food source.
Ideally, I'd like the food I use to not cost too much more than Canidae. I pay about $32 for a 40 lb. bag. I know this is a good price and other choices will cost more. I'd like it to not be too costly though.
Am I supposed to not use at least one main source in case my dog gets an allergy so I have something to go back to?
Thanks!
