Sam's Club...any good dog food there?

We recently got a Sam's Club membership from my parents as a gift. How nice, lol. We're actually excited to save a little money. Just wondering, since we're going to start shopping there, is there any good dog food available? Apollo is on Canidae All Life Stages original formula (used to be on chicken & rice), dry kibble. Is there any type of food that Sam's Club sells that is similar to Canidae in quality?

ETA: He does get toppers, like: a raw egg or meat or a little canned dog food and/or lightly steamed green beans.

Haven't heard of any good ones there, but surprisingly, my holistic vet was telling me that the Kirkland brand at Costco is actually pretty good.  What warehouse stores are good for is homecooking!  Wink   Buying in bulk lowers the cost of feeding my two real food so I don't have to worry about chemicals, additives and recalls.

Yah, I think homecooking is great, but, it is not an option for us. I rarely even homecook for myself! Stick out tongue

Sam's Club will stock the main brands, such as Purina, but it does carry it's own line called Member's Mark.  I believe they have a regular variety and a performance variety.  I'd looked into them before out of curiosity, and I found the Exceed Performance variety to be on par with foods like Iams or Eukanuba perhaps (I'm not the greatest at comparison).  Here's a breakdown:

    "Ingredients:
Chicken, chicken meal (natural source of glucosamine), corn gluten meal, brewers rice, animal fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols - form of vitamin E), ground yellow corn, ground wheat, calcium phosphate, dried beet pulp, dried egg product, brewers dried yeast, animal digest, salt, potassium chloride, calcium carbonate, L-lysine monohydrochloride, choline cholride, zinc sulfate, vitamin E supplement, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, niacin, vitamine A supplement, calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, copper sulfate, riboflavin supplement, vitamin B-12 supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, garlic oil, folic acid, vitamin D3 supplement, calcium iodate, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), sodium selenite.

You can see it's not bad, just not fantastic either.  Decent protein source, but a few controversial fillers.  If you're feeding Apollo Canidae right now, I'd probably stick with it, but it's completely up to you.  I will say that I loooove Sam's Club though.  It's addicting, I always buy more than I need!

Yah, I'm probably going to stick to Canidae. I've never been to Sam's Club, so, I wasn't sure if there was any good dog food at a decent price- I'm always looking to save!!
