experience with Orijen?

    experience with Orijen?

I found out the feed store down the street carries Orijen and I picked up a sample bag.  Zoe is currently eating NV Beef and Barley and is doing very well on it, and we're getting to the bottom of the bag and I would like to rotate with something else.   Also my puppy is on Pro Plan and his coat is rough and his stools are large (and smell terrible!Ick!).  I would be interested in hearing personal experiences from anyone who has fed it and how well your dog did or is doing on it.  Thanks!

I switched my dog 5yr Aussie to Orijen almost a year ago. He had been on Canidia(sp?) for years and I really didn't have any reason to change but thought I'd give it a try. The only difference I have found is in his coat. Much more shine and less shedding.

I've been feeding Orijen Senior and Orijen Adult (when Senior was backordered) for a few months now. I have two boxers and a 3-legged boxer/pit/beagle mix. I'm very happy with it. They love the taste, especially my picky girl, and they are now lean and muscular instead of pudgy or skinny.  Their stools are smaller and more compact. Coats are soft and shiny. My senior's arthritis is much better especially for the winter, and he's much more energetic. I have no complaints whatsoever.

You may want to check their guidelines for their puppy formula. I'm not sure if you can feed the adult formula to a 5 month old.

It's one of the many kibble I feed and I have no complaints.  It is really palatable and the poop situation is good...

    HI

I have three dobermans, a black ant tan, blue and tan and a fawn and tan. I feed orijen, It keeps the poop level down, they love it and their caots are absolutly beautiful.. not everyone with a blue and fawn can say that...

Orijen is the best I have to order it on line to keep the cost down, and shipping is free.. so I suggest getting it on line.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I think I'm going to shoot them an email to find out if the adult formula is ok for a 6 month old toy breed.

If my dogs and I were marooned on a desert island and could only have one dog food, it would be Orijen.

Well we are on our second bag of orijen for both dogs (6 fish and large breed puppy).  The results seem to be great.  Both dogs stools are great, although they don't really seem to be that much smaller, but we are still in the transition stage.  Their breath is much better though which is great.  Teeth are very clean and their coats look great.  I am pretty impressed!

Hello, I have a 2 year old Golden and switched him around eight months ago due to health issues and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. If you are wondering about the product, go to there web-site where they put out a "White Paper" on Orijin. I found it very informative . Orijin is fairly expensive however it's for my best friendDog. Enjoy the paper it sold me...Regards

I just started feeding it to my fosters (because of the grain free) and they love it. I have never seen such nice coats on a pup before!

I don't think I'll be switching Casey over, just because of the cost - although I may rotate it every now and then. I really like the lady I get it from.

Thanks guys...Zoe has been on it for a couple of weeks now.  Too soon to tell how it will be in the long run of course but poops are good.
