Anyone feeding their dog(s) with mOrigins?

I have had the dogs on it now at 100% for almost two weeks, one dog, Chloe, was fine with it while the other, Scout, had a minor set back after the first week which I think he got into something he should not have since he had the runs for about 24 hours. It was explosive as had to go every 30 minutes to 2 hours. Talk about lack of sleep!

So I fasted him for 24 hours, then started to introduce rice then the next feeding was a ratio of 75/25 of rice and mOrigins and now we're at a 50/50 mix of rice of mOrigins.

I switched from Innova to the prey model diet based on conversations with people at an agility trial in where they either breed, do confirmation, agility and other performance work with their dogs. It seemed on average that they have been using mOrigins for about 7 years. I do like the fact they are just a couple of hours away and that they do their "meals" every 6 weeks so the food is always fresh which you can certainly smell the aroma of it. The dogs go crazy over it.

I was thinking about adding in some variety of HPP every now and then. So if you have any experiences with either please do tell.

Morigins has been around for at least 10 years I think. I have ysed it in the past and think it is a good product. It does tend to have a bit of a urine odor from the kidneys though - ick!

This Morigen looks like a really good food,i hope your pupper eventually gets used to it. What about mixing it in with a high quality kibble,or have you moved completely away from dry food?

Well, I have one dog that is successfully on it now at 100% and the other with his small setback, is at a 75:25 meat/rice mix. His last stool looked promising in that his stomach is now taking it in. I no longer have kibble in the house unfortunately. I did talk to the original owner of the dog and she told me his stomach is sensitive.

When the meat had thawed a bit, it smelled like mix of iron and the aroma when you open up animal. I was told that the mix contains, heart, lung, liver, tripe, blood and muscle.

You give my dogs anything that is a heart, they go bonkers for it.

Oh I saw that trust me. I asked people (breeders, owner) that have been using the product since they were using it in excess of 7 years and contacted the distributor and the company. No has had any issue with their dogs. She told me it was a light dusting and it was needed. They also told me that you might get the 'worries' about that ingredient but in there 13+ years in existence, there has been no evidence of dogs having any bad side effects.

So I trusted my sources I spoke to since they have been using this product for a long time.

I think I'd trust the scientific evidence that proves that it causes several severe medical problems and the fact that it's been banned for use in the EU.  I take it you haven't been to www.dogfoodproject.com.
