Did anyone see this last night? It's called.. Rachael Ray Feeds Your Pets or something like that. I was scared going into it that it was going to be full of misinformation and such, but I ended up pretty impressed. They visited the Evanger's canning plant, talked about how meat should always be the first ingredient of pet food, had a vet nutritionist who talked about raw diets and such, talked about foods toxic to dogs and cats (but I was really disappointed that they didn't mention onions
), etc. It was pretty cool.
AND she has a pit bull who showed herself to be SUPER sweet to dogs and people alike. That's always good. They need more good press.
My only real gripe was she kept saying that milk is soooo good for dogs, and she tries to sneak it into her dog's diet wherever possible, because it has calcium which balances out the phosphorus in meat. Last time I checked most dogs were lactose intolerant, and milk only had a teeny bit more calcium than phosphorus.
Overall though, it was pretty good. It's on again Friday at 9, I think, if anyone's interested.
