What fruit does your dog eat? (Veggies too)

Just curious about what fruit your dog(s) like to eat?

Shailer loves watermelon with/out seeds. I give it to him as a reward during the summer when he behaves himself. The bad thing about this is I don't like watermelon but I am always happy to "share" my half with Shailer. He also loves to eat apples, and peaches. I don't know if peaches are bad because of the seed (choking hazard, poison) but I didn't know he was eating them until one day I found him eating peaches that had fallen of a peach tree we had in the backyard. I don't give him peaches though but I know he will eat them. He also likes oranges and will peel one himself. We play with apples like fetching balls. I will throw it for him and he will run after it get it, lay down, and enjoy his treat. He especially likes to soggy apples....yuck! He tried to eat grapes from my mom one time but I know grapes are dangerous for dogs so I just told my mom not to give him any. I know peacans are not fruit but he like to eat those too. Veggies I don't know haven't give him any but I think he would eat just about anything I give him.

Carrots are the favorite treat for the dogs. I keep them in the freezer and it's the first thing I give them when I get home. As for fruit, apples are probably their favorite and I freeze those sometimes too. They also love watermelon when we have it. I've even taken the watermelon juice that's left over and frozen it in ice cube trays and they love that on a hot day.

Sally likes baby carrots, but Jack does not.  Jack likes pickles and cucumbers, and they both like pretty much any fruit.....

The only produce Cherokee will willingly eat alone (mixed with meat, she eats almost anything) is overcooked broccoli (has to be mushy or she'll spit it out) and cantaloupe. Both are only sometimes. My picky little carnivore...

Caleb loves carrots, bananas, apples, pineapple, strawberries and oranges.  I haven't really tried anything else.

I give my girls baby carrots and green beans.  I also give them sliced apples, watermelon, I have given cataloupe, strawberries,  blue berries, and pineapples.  I'll have to try peaches.

My girls love strawberries, sweet potatoes, green beans, bananas, applesauce, pineapple, raspberries....just about everything, but Layla doesn't like blueberries - the only thing she doesn't like! **I thought apple seeds were poisonous to dogs as well as pits of any kind...peach, cherry........... so I don't give those to them

Casey loves carrrots, cucumbers, green beans, cantelope, and will happily play fetch with an orange from one of the many trees in my backyard Confused

I'm not a big fruit eater, so he hasn't had much of those. Except for blueberries - which he and I both do not like.

    Fruit or veggies too?

Neiko and Lily love watermelon and bananas. Dakota likes watermelon and grapes.

I know that grapes are a controversial subject but I feed them to her every once in a long while (only 1 or 2). She loves them.

I gave the dogs carrots the other day. Dakota said no thanks. Neiko and Lily ate theirs but they weren't too excited about it.

    That's about it!

My guys adore any fruit and veggie with the exception of celery. They all 3 hate it.

But if you want to see a bichon practically turn herself inside out to get a piece of melon... well that's Lexi! LOL She loves melon.

Another really weird liking for all 3 is brocolli stalks. I'll actually whack off the majority of the stalk like 4" long or more and hand it off to the dogs and they'll chew it all up like it's the tastiest bone ever!

Indie loves everything, haven't found ANYTHING that boy won't eat, including his own poops!  Ick! But that's another story!  Stick out tongue

Woobie doesn't like to eat sweet things.  Weirdo!  His arabinogalactan powder has a sweet flavor and I have to mix it in with beef broth or stronger tasting things like the water from the canned salmon I feed or he won't eat the whole bowl of food.  And he hates green beans.

Indie looks at him like he's crazy and says "Dude! You's crazy! Dems good eatin!  Gimme dat sweet tater!"  Big Smile

Woobie says "This from the guy who eats his own poops!  Pfffttt!"  Hmm

BERRIES (any type)!  Also, carrots, peas, sweet potatoe, broccoli, squash, beets, apples, beans, lentils - there is almost no fruit/veggie they don't like!  Little piggies...

Maddi will eat almost anything I give her. Apple, oranges (and othe citris), bananas, berries of all types, carrots, zucinni (sp?), cucumber, sometimes tomato, lettuce, and peppers... The only thing I've found she doesn't care for is raw broccoli; she only eat it cooked (just like her mommy!)

Ben will do anything.....ANYTHING...for a blueberry.  He also likes strawberries, raspberries, bananas, apples and mangoes.  For veggies,  he likes carrots, broccoli, green beans and peas.

Celery is a big no no in our house for him, for some reason it makes him throw up.

LOL Bugsy inspects everything before he eats it but there's not much he won't eat. The only veggie he didn't eat was a piece of raw sweet red pepper.  No fruit has been rejected.  He played with a blueberry for like a full 5 minutes before deciding it was yummy.  He is wacky crazy for mango, banana and cantelope.  If you take out the bag of baby carrots he will run to his downstairs bed and wait for one Big Smile

One of my friends had him doing handshakes for the rib from romaine lettuce - sad isn't it?
