Well, I think one reason (that was mentioned earlier) that so many picked "other" is that they feed Innova or some other Natura product and that wasn't an option--so you might want to add it in this time.

    Bingo...

I'm going to make a new poll for the STATISTICS. If you don't want to vote, then don't vote. Thanks to everyone who PMed me.

Just to let everyone know I have sparked great interest in Canine Nutrition. I enjoy reading what you all do with your own dogs & have learned a lot in the processes. For those that don't know I am renovating a website www.pomeranianpuppies.org I would like to have a NUTRITION section that suggests good Kibble BRANDS & information/links about other popular diets. With these polls I can notice a trend, popularity, and learn a great to to help me in this "quest."

Although a poll seems like a fun idea, I find that many people rotate the brands they feed, so the answers they give today may not be the answer they give in a week.  If you are looking for nutrition information to link people to from your website, you may want to explore these two sites:

    http://www.dogfoodproject.com/

    http://www.dogaware.com/dogfeeding.html

Lots of information to pass along and share.

By the way, I feed a raw diet.

I'm getting confused.  Isn't this like the FOURTH time the title of this thread has changed?

Yea.  'm confused at the other two threads that were started...aren't they all the pretty much the same thing?? Not really sure what you are fishing for here...maybe I'm just missing something.

As I understand it from her earlier post, she wants the info for her pom puppy website.  But, I don't really understand why we need so many polls to get the same answers, nor do I get why this title keeps changing. Huh?

    • Gold Top Dog

The title of this does not keep changing. Gina is the only person who can change, edit, update this thread (not me).

Since my questions/intentions have changed I created two other threads (that suit my purpose much better). If you don't want to post in them you don't have to; but you don't have to judge, complain, or sabotage them either. Everyone has the right to ask questions and find out answers. These threads will be interesting to other people besides myself.

If you have an issue you can talk to me DIRECTLY; if not then I will just disregard it. I have always said I am open to suggestions so I don't find any reason why I should be getting interigated right now.

And just incase any of you decide to create a thread one day, don't worry I won't complain about it, since I believe everyone deserves respect and the chance to gain knowledge.

Hopefully you can grow to enjoy the new threads I created... if not that's fine too you are entitled to your own opinion.

Sixth time now, and it's very disconcerting.

As long as I am not rude, baiting or attacking, and otherwise follow the forum guidelines, I am entitled to express my opinion on the forum.

Actually, that's not true. When you reply, you have the option to change the "Subject." Even if it's not the original title, it's what will show up on the main forum page when an update is made. So if the name is different, it will look like a new thread title.

If you look back to 2-12, you changed the subject to PLEASE VOTE! [Nutrition], then on 2-20 to ATTENTION! [Nutrition Poll], then on 2-21 to NEW Nutrition Polls.

I just don't understand why there has to be SO MANY polls, why can't we keep it to one post?

Ditto, and you can change the titles with the edit function as previously mentioned.

    Hi friends!

I selected "other", and the OP has mentioned please feel free to explain!

I have been feeding dogs for well over 20 years, but I found the product that works best for my dogs and will never switch back to commercial style kibbles again so long as Abady Granular feeds are available.  R. Abady will tell you the industry as a whole will sacrifice nutrition for profit and I believe that to be very true.  The focus of the product is a carnivore approach to feeding, not omnivore.  The difference is manufacturers have choices and they are to supply the consumer with low carb/ low fiber rations and strong concentrations of animal source proteins within the protein core, OR, offer the consumer high fiber, high carb diets and allowing GLUTEN source proteins to dictate the ration (gluten is the protein from grain).  The feed I currently am using is 30% protein 28 % fat.  Of that 30% protein, 92.4% is comprised of ANIMAL SOURCE proteins.  Typical rations that will boast 30% protein, of that will give you 40% animal source and fill the remainder with gluten!  I feel Abady Granular feeds are the absolute best products available in the market place and my dogs will be on these feeds for the remainder of their lives.  Thanks.  CC.

Because that would be much too easy...

I`m not sure where this is going to end up as the subject has changed so much but here goes---- My dog has been on

California Natural, Innova, Eagle Pack Holistic Duck and Oatmeal and Holistic Lamb Meal and Rice, TWO  -- Bison, Ocean Blue, and Lamb, Barley and Apple. Molly is now on Orijen. She has done good on all of them. I am going to rotate but with what ones ????????. I may try more kibble before I decide on my rotation.
