... what did we decide the proper small dog frequency should be???

Well, took her to the vet and they said everything looks fine on her urinalysis and bloodwork. Just got the usual "puppies pee a lot". I figured she was fine but glad to know for sure now. He just said some dogs take longer to gain control of their bladder. She has slowly gotten better. She only pees in her crate at night maybe once a week now. Where as before she was peeing multiple times daily. Just thought I'd update everyone! My fingers are crossed for her peeing to continue to improve...hopefully sooner rather than later :)

     SHE DIDN'T PEE!!!! :o)

I left water our ALL DAY today and she didn't pee inside!!!! :o)

Now the true test is tonight... I'll let u know how she does!!! hehe... I think I 'taught' her not to drink that much lol

I am so glad for the good news for both of the puppies.  Way to go!!!!!!!!

i think if you restrict their water, when they do get water they tend to drink a TON at once. If it isn't restricted eventually they will learn to only drink a tiny bit at a time. I do restrict water at night time, she doesn't get water an hour before bed time. other than that she has free access to it.

If she does fine tonight then forget this, but I was going to suggest a water bottle.  That way she'll likely get bored of drinking rather than drinking out of boredom.  Just a thought.

I think a water bottle is a great idea. Esp. for a crated dog - can't be spilled!
