Aight so maybe not in the air at my house... Kayla uses the lovely squating method...
I know obviously small dogs will pee more than larger dogs... but do they really pee THIS much?
Now before I continue for those that don't know, when we had potty training issues with Kayla before we brought her to the Vet twice to make sure is wasn't a medical issue. She's fine, she's "potty trained", no medical issues...
The fact is I also reduced the amount of water she could have in a day and that helped the potty training a lot more.
Now I know its always said "have fresh water available at all times" well it is also said "you must go into having this breed knowing they may in fact never be completely potty trained" [in reference to Pomeranians in a book I read]
WELL now that Kayla has a very strict eating schedule, diet, and water supply we never have issues. She is taken outside 4-5 times a day. If I had a house with a yard or could just walk out side life of course would be easier. But we live on the 4th floor end of the wing high-rise apartment building so its walk all the way to the end of the hallway, go down the elevator, walk down the hall, walk over to the dog area... geeez...
She has water in the morning, water on lunch, water at dinner. She also will be provided with water after play.
If I left it down all the time she'd just drink and drink and drink and pee everywhere. I swear her blatter is the size of a dime...
Does anyone else regulate how much water their dog can drink in a day?
*I am open to suggestions as always* :o)
