Has anyone been a member of one of these raw co-op's? Do you think they are worth it or is it just too annoying to go pick the stuff up? Let me know if you have any experiences, I've heard good things about them and there is a big one here in so cal. socalbarf.com/

It looks very interesting. I would definitely look into it further if I was near there. I really really doubt there is anything like that up here...but if anyone knows of any...well let me know. .34 cents a pound for chicken necks and backs! Thats less than half what I pay. And more opportunity to get things like buffalo and rabbit is great for me. I'm not sure though, Kelly, with dogs the size of yours, if it would be worth the trouble. It seems like a group effort kind of thing right? I mean, you have what? 30 pounds of dog? maybe? Thats not even a pound of food a day. I feed about 4.5 pounds with my two. So while I would save approx 90 bucks a month... you'd save less than 15. I suppose its up to you though. 90 bucks for a days worth of work isn't too bad... 15? Well....not so much. But its interesting.

The more I think about it, you are probably right Candace. I think it would be better for people with a pack of big dogs or a big dog. The amount I would feed probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. Maybe some of the other california people could try it out and let us know!
