I had no idea you could feed a dog eggs.. I always thought it gave them gas. Or is that only cooked eggs?
Eggs are a fantastic protein source, plus they have vitamins, minerals, and good fat. Great for dogs. Gas totally depends on the dog. Cherokee's got a pretty solid stomach, she can switch kibble daily, eat any and all "people foods", raw beef, whole bones, and she hardly ever farts or has anything less than very solid poop. If she does, I know she ate something seriously wrong for her. Jaz on the other hand gets gas from like a grain of rice, and his poop is hardly ever really solid.
Eggshells are totally your call. Cherokee won't eat them, and the thought of them scares some people, but I know a lot of people just hand their dog a whole egg.
Fish oil..you can pretty much get anywhere. I dunno what Shoppers Drug Mart is, but if it's anything like Rite Aid or CVS, yeah, you can probably get fish oil capsules there. You can also sometimes find bottles of liquid at dog food stores, or you can order it online. Cherokee likes Nature's Logic sardine oil a lot, and I've gotten good results with it.
Liver oil's got a ton of vitamin A and D, which is great if you're feeding a homemade diet, but kibbles got plenty of them already, and they're fat soluble, so it's possible to overdose on them.
Oh yeah, and beef's fine. Cooked or raw. It's Cherokee's favorite.
