Talk to my vet and got a big Negative on what IM feeding my dogs.....

Yellow makes me think of EPI - pancreatic insufficiency.  But your vet has surely tested for that already.  I don't know, though, sometimes "mushy" but not actual diarrhea doesn't set off any warning bells for vets.

Yellow mushy poop is not a normal food reaction unless you've been feeding a lot of carrots!  Stick out tongue

Zoey poop was perfect on the W/D this morning..... so that is what IM going to do.... Its 18 degrees this morning and we went for a short hike but we should have made it longer cause they are all still wound up..... Anyway IM doing the canned W/D

Zoey feels great ........ so that is a good sign. My friends Westie has pancreatic problems and she was on W/D for years before she passed. So my gut says this is what I need to do for now. When she is groomed next week I will have full blood work done. But till then this is the route Im going with...

I will keep you guys posted :)

Okay everyone meaning the Westies all got I/D tonight... I also wanted to share something my vet says seems to be working great on a lot dogs with GI issues...

Purina came out with ForitFlora and you add it to your dogs food. It comes in packages.

My vet really wanted me to get  Zoey back on Metrondizole since her poop is so yellow and with mucus.. She said that sounds like so much bile in her stool. If this doesn't calm down then we will do the Giardia treatment but I told her my gut is telling me its diet and IM doing it by still adding the cooking raw to her W/D... Im still adding the irritant. She agreed fully with me as she knows I know my stuff. I told her its not like the dogs are opening the frig and cabinets and feeding themselves Im doing it. I added fresh cooked duck to the food today and on that second hike I had a mess with the Westies... So all 3 got I/D.... and its fresh which I love. I hate getting old cans that are crumbly!!!

I told the girls at the office that we go thru this with my dogs always around xmas and I truly feel they are getting stress from me.... But one year I kid you not my dogs had Giardia.. ALL 5 at once. ON Christmas Eve my vet had to leave meds hanging on the door for me to come by that night and get my dogs on..... Giardia always lives in there systems and until we meaning me came up with the Great Dane ladies way to get rid of it .. well it was on going with the dogs for months. I wonder if stress didn't kick this up and if Im going to have to do the Panacur treatment on the Westies. I told my Vet Im taking this one day at a time and if we can't get it corrected with the I/D then we know we need to do the Pancur treatment.

Im exhausted by all of this with so much xmas stuff on my mind. And so much to do. But I feel this has been coming on with Zoey and then we she got sick it did her in and her GI tract so its time for a much needed change.....

Again I did stress to my Vet YELLOW poop... and she said way to much Bile..... When she went this afternoon is was bad again and I took a stick and went thru it and it had mucus.... Yesterday I guess I didn't go thru it as well. I wear my DH out on our hikes... checking butts and poop is enough to make anyone crazy....

After reading through this thread, I personally don't think this is a diet issue.  It's interesting to me that you have fed this diet for a year with no troubles, and then after exposure to a sick dog (possible giardia?), Zoey, and now the other dogs, are having troubles.  This sounds more like some sort of "bug" that your other dogs are getting from Zoey after she contracted it from the groomer's dog.....and if it is possibly giardia, you know how contagious it is as well as how hard it is to get rid of.

At any rate, whenever my IBD guy has any G-I troubles, I take him off raw and do homecooked and canned for around 3 days to a week.  I can certainly understand wanting to switch foods, but I sure don't think these troubles are entirely diet related.  Either way, I wish you luck in the quest for a new food.

I appreciate your thougths on this and yes I know the giradia drill.. its a living NIGHTMARE to say the least so Im hoping its not that....  but there poop color looks strangely the same. With Giardia you get the NO appetite.... gas and grazing on grass which they aren't doing. They all act  healthy.....
