Wellness dog food

    Wellness dog food

I have found a dog food Lillie will eat without me having to add stuff to it. I was filling her bowl up with the food today and went to the fridge to get her eggs and she was already chowing down on the dog food. I added the eggs anyways. I switched her food to Wellness Core original protein based 3 days ago. Now all I need it to do is put weight on her. And gosh a 26 lb bag wasnt cheap either. And that's the biggest bag it comes in!! Wish me luck with this food!!

Good luck with the CORE. We tried that one here and it wasn't as big of a hit as the others in my rotation, but I think it may be because the kibble size is kinda big for the size dog I have. :)

I wish it came in a bigger bag if it puts wieght on her. My chihuahua tries to eat everything even if it's bigger than her mouth.

I just switched my dogs to Wellness Core too, and also my cats! Everybody loves it, and I feel better with a grain free food. My dogs are not at all picky about food, but they seem particularly interested in Core. You're right though, it's VERY expensive! Hope it works well for you.

Right now Laci my Chihuahua is on the Wellness: Just for Puppy food and the kibble is just the right size for her. She can eat a bigger kibble, but not by much. I was planning on switching her over to the Wellness CORE when she outgrew the puppy formula. Is the kibble size for large breed dogs?

I have 4 dogs and 2 cats.I actually feed 6 though. They all catch mice around here and no one claims 4 of them and I think they deserve at least one meal a day they dont have to hunt for. I hadnt even thought about switching the cats food. I think I might try them on TOW since it's cheaper than the wellness food. I wish I could feed all the dogs the same food. I have a 6 year old dalmation lab mix that is probally 10 lbs over weight that I need to start controlling here soon. Then I have a 5 month old aussie that is fine eating anything but I want to feed all my dogs better food. And then there is Lillie who is a picky eater and too skinny. But I think I have Lillie's food situation under control now. I will know in a week or two right?

The kibble in the Core is large but my Chi steals pieces here and there out of Lillies bowl when she can.She has to work a little bit to eat it but she seems to do just fine with it.

Thanks for the reply! Your Chi looks smaller than mine, so perhaps mine won't have a problem with it either. Smile

Kujo is 5 months old and weighs 2 lbs 6 oz. The vet said she was almost done growing if not already.

    2 lbs 6 oz.

The next time someone calls Prancer "such a little dog" (she's 13 lbs) I'm going to mention the weight of Kujo !   That's a hysterical name for a teeny tiny - too cute :)

My husband thought it would be funny to name her. Well plus he got tired of me naming the dogs human names. I just changed the spelling a bit.
