Liver nibbles

1 pound beef liver
garlic powder
 
open all windows in house and put oven vent fan on high. Put entire liver into oven and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Remove liver. Turn oven down to 200 degrees. When liver is cool enough to touch, cut into bite-sized pieces and spread out on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Put in oven and dry for three hours. Store in fridge or freezer.  Chicken liver can be subsituted for beef liver, but may require prolonged drying time (up to five hours) to produce a good, solid texture.
