Pumpkin Muffins

I was told that pumpkin was good for a dog's digestive system so I tried out this recipe and my boxer loved it.  I then made some for a few co-workers who had dogs as well.  They all loved them too.  The only thing is that, like regular muffins, they don't last long.  I ended up making them into small muffins and freezing the rest.   I  noticed that this recipe has a lot of salt as well.  You may want to reduce the salt, baking soda and powder.  All the rest of the ingredients are healthy.  Let me know what you think!

Dry Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup oats
1 tsp. baking powder, optional
1 tsp. baking soda, optional
1 tsp. salt, optional
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

4 eggs
1 can pumpkin
2/3 cups vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla   Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.  Fold together.  Pour into small muffin sheets.  Bake for 20-25 minutes.
