Last Saturday at obedience class we were taught how to "Park It" on a mat or towel or bed. I've been looking forward to this as I would love to get Boomer to park it while I'm doing something and he can relax on his mat and play with his toy on his mat until I tell him that it's okay to come off. Took me a few times with the treats to get him to understand what I was saying, but by the end of the night he got it. Even the next day, my wife tried it and he stayed on there for 20 minutes (a miracle since he's only 8 months and non-stop moving). Can't wait until we can take to friends homes, bring the mat and tell him to park it and he'll do it. Very excited and proud of Boomer on his latest task.
