    Building Agility Equipment

My beagle and I started training a bit for agility recently, and it seems that we need some more obstacles.  Currently I have 5 single bar jumps, a tire jump (but I hate it because if Carley barely hits it, the tire falls down) a chute/tunnel (3 ft. tunnel and I keep the chute on it) pause box, and weave poles.
If anyone has some plans to make any contact obstacles, mainly the teeter totter and dog walk, or a tire jump, it would be greatly appreciated!

Also any great agility book or magazine recommendations?

    Thanks! [;)]

You could try this site out for a tire jump and dogwalk.

www.cleanrun.com is a great magazine all about agility and agility training.

I can send you specs for a tire jump if you pm me.

you can just use an elevated ;plank or your stairs to teach and practice the contacts. Attach a piece of PVC pipe to the bottom of a plank, and voila, a practice teeter-totter.

Thank you all for your replies!  I'm looking into subscribing to Cleanrun in the next month or two.
I'm pretty suprised at how fast Carley has been catching onto all of it.  The chute was so easy for her.  By the third time of actually trying it, on my way back to the chute part (to hold it up for her and call her through), Carley was on her way through to meet me at the end.  Needless to say, it's her favorite obstacle now. [:D]
    Thanks again!
