    Newbie Here...

Hey guys.  Newbie here.  I actually found this site by mistake in doing a google search for disc dogs.  Neat site!  Then...after more probing, found out a near and dear friend of mine is also on this site!  Linda...why am I surprised! LOL!  Hope you enjoy your trip to Raleigh.  We'll see you there!

    Hugs!

    Carolynn,
I'm so glad you found this site. Carolynn and her husband have awesome dogs and they do a great job training them. They do flyball, agility, disc dog, freestyle, herding--and they do it well. Looking forward to hearing more from you and seeing more pictures of your guys.

Well thanks guys!  What a friendly group!  We own two Australian Shepherds and one PWCorgi.  My male Aussie's name is Rafe (just like it's spelled...no french additives, LOL!). His lines include Diamond Aire and Las Rocosa.  My female Aussie's name is Lena.  She's crazy!  Her lines include Slash V.  My corgi is a Honey Fox dog...working lines from what I understand with a mix of some conformation.  His name is Dusty (I didn't name him...his former owner did).  It's a pleasure to be in the company of great working minds.  Glad to be a part of the group. And thanks for the vote of confidence, Linda.  I'm very pleased we're on another group together!

    Hugs to you all![8D]

[sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]Oh, by the way...in case Linda didn't post about the Raleigh weekend, it was a blast!  Our team took first place with me running Rafe and my 9 year old daughter running Dusty.  She did a fabulous job and we did well, too!

Linda, how did you guys do?

Welcome to the board.   Your dog is beautiful, and the action shots are just incredible!

The team Sage was on took first place in their division. Remmy's team didn't place this time. I was so glad Tab was able to get a few runs in at this event. He's almost 12 years old and will be retiring later this year.

Great photos of Rafe! Congratulations on your win!

Congratulations on your wins, too, Linda. I wish our dogs could have been racing together out there!  And guess what?  Our team is attending Beltway Bandit's tournament.  You wanna hear a kicker?  Courtney is racing Dusty on a Multi breed team in DIVISION ONE!!!  I've never been on a division one team and she races three times and gets to go on one! LOL!  The apprentice has become the teacher. LOL!

Congrats also on your Ebony & Ivory award for MAD Dogs.  You deserve it, Linda. You're always out there having fun, loving your dogs, loving the game and helpful when needed.  You're the best![sm=dance.gif]

I agree. They would have LOVED that!

[:D] That's awesome! I've never raced in Divison One and you know how many years I've been doing flyball! Leave it to the younger generation.

When BB 1st announced they weren't going to change the fee, we made plans for another tournament that month. When they changed their minds at the last minute, there weren't enough people who could go for they made other plans. Bummer. Hope you have a good time there.

Thank you! That was a HUGE suprise! I sure didn't expect that. I always feel like I'm more in the way than being much help. It was a fun get together. And congrats on YOUR placements! Looks like we'll be competing in the same division this year. I'll have to tell Sage and Remmy that the 'solids' have to beat the 'merle'. LOL

MADD is such a great group. Thank you for getting me involved with a great club and great sport.

OH geez... I love that you do disc work with your dogs and with us.  It's fun and the group is great.  I have been itching to hang out with the MAD Dogs...Ray and I were laughing that we're going through withdrawal! LOL!

You do a great job, hun...and the MAD Dogs recognize it!  I'm glad you enjoy it and I'm really glad we still have something we can share.  I miss hanging out with you.

We weren't going to go to BB, either, but when they changed their fees, Enough people still wanted to go so we submitted for three teams hoping to get two in.  We got THREE in! But we declined one and are only running two.  Probably since there are so few turnouts for this event, that's the only way we got into divsion one! LOL![;)]  And in R2, Rafe and Lena are running on the same team. I laughed that he'd be pulling faster times this time! LOL!

Anyway, have a good time at the tourney you guys are going to. FP only got in one team on Sunday at FF/RTH, so I pulled Rafe and Dusty and put Lena in the lineup so that Peter could run her.  Since he doesn't work on Sunday, he said he's willing to drive up to Philly, so we're going.  But I'm sure I'll see you in March, at Jet Set, right?

I miss hanging out with you.

Ditto! Looking forward to all the disc dog events this year. Hopefully there won't be too many conflicts with flyball. Ah the problem of  too many dog activities.

Yea BB didn't fill but I guess they got enough to still hold it. I still think they are charging too much for that venue but it is a local one.

But I'm sure I'll see you in March, at Jet Set, right?

Yup. And we'll probably go to HJJ too.

Gee, are we addicted to our dog sports or what. How many other people spend their weekends playing with their dogs?
