    Well, my dogs do occasionally hunt, on their own, but not every dog is capable of that (I'd LOVE to see an English Bulldog take out a rabbit!), and not every owner can give their dog that freedom. My dogs are contained, but we have lots of wildlife in our yard.

    Baby rabbits and birds are plentiful, and stupid[:'(]

    Jennie---They may kill some stuff on their own, but you as the "alpha" aren't going out and killing it for them.  That was the comment that was originally made, that the "alpha" wolf doesn't homecook.

    Definitely not, LOL. And guess what? Emma, as the alpha, has never killed anything for another dog. She's never once offered to share her food, even with "her" puppies (she's spayed, but she "nurses", cleans, and helps tremendously when I raise fosters).
