    Nutro's 4 desserts

Nutro has come up with 4 desserts for dogs.  They are in small cans.  One is apple, one berry, one pumkin and the other carrot.  They smell really good and the ingredients look good.  I let Jake try all 4 and he only liked the apple and carrot ones.  Look on their web site and tell me what you think of the ingredients.

Wow, that's one of the neatest things I've ever seen for dogs! The ingredients look really good. The only one I really see as a problem is wheat. I think my dog might be allergic to wheat and it's a common allergen. I'm going to get the Pumpkin one and give it a try. I think he would really love it and the ingredients are really healthy.

I have got to say, in all my years of practice I never once heard of giving dogs a dessert dish..now you gotta say that is living pretty high on the hog

It says less than 100 calories per serving so does that mean you dont have to adjust your feeding?  Its just in addition?

That sounds great!!!  I wanna go get some!

No bad ingredients other than wheat?  The only thing wrong with wheat is it may cause allergies in some dogs?

Seems like a waste of money to me. [sm=lol.gif]

HAHAHA! I have a funny story about these.

I put some in Cinch's bowl butt up against his food. He sat at the bowl and whimpered because that 'junk' was touching his kibble. He layed on his side and acted like he was dying until we took the dessert out. After that he ate his kibble peacefully.

Needless to say, it wasn't a hit!! [:'(]

I really dont see whats horrible about it... if your dog likes it, its a cute idea and a nice treat IMO.

I've been thinking about getting a Kong for Willow, not sure if she'd use it though.  I wonder if I'd be able to freeze one of these in it with maybe some cream cheese or peanut butter on the ends??

wouldn't it be better if fresh fruits or frozen fruits is given to the dog for their deserts?
