    homecooking

I've decided to not go for raw...I experimented a little and didn't like it (plus, i dont have much freezer space). I'm very interested in homecooking. I've found a few recipes on the internet that sound pretty good, yet they didn't specify how much to give the dogs. How much should i give them when i cook? Per meal, they usually eat 2-3 cups of kibble...

    Hi:
There's a book by Donald Strombeck called Home Prepared Diets for Cats and Dogs.  It has many recipes in there and variations even ones for special issues.  You can order it on line or check Barnes and Noble or Borders Books, they can get it in for you.  i had to order a new one and I ordered it 2 days a go and they got it in already.  It's a bit pricy, but well worth it.  There's also Dr. Richard Pitcairn's Book, has recipes and explains a lot even with herbs, but I personally like Donald Strombecks's book.  There's also some pre-mixes out there and you can cook your own meat and add it, fully balance.  I use Dr. Harvey's.  If you want a grain free there's Urban Wolf and Sojo's Europa. Good Luck
