    Agriculture Department says some dog food being recalled
    BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Some products marketed by an Arkansas-based pet food company have been recalled because of a manufacturing defect, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture says.
    The Simmons Pet Food company of Siloam Springs, Ark., which makes the products, voluntarily recalled them after finding random flaking of the inside coating of the cans, state agriculture officials said Monday. The Agriculture Department registers pet foods sold in North Dakota.
    The department said the products being recalled include all 22-ounce canned pet food with "use by" dates between March 16, 2008, and June 6, 2008. Some are distributed through Kmart, some through Wal-Mart and others through Allied Foods.
    Consumers who bought the products may return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund, the department said.

    What a crack up! I bet it really IS pot luck in each and every can [:'(] [;)]

    I havnt even heard of half of those brands.I try and avoid the supermarket pet food aisles,partly because i always end up disheartened and upset at some of the utter crap marketed toward our beloved dogs and also just incase anyone i know see's me checking out the blah ingredients of ol' roy or something and thinking thats what i feed my dogs,how embarrasment [sm=blush.gif]
