    stopped eating new food

I wanted to start rotating my dogs food, so I have gone from Innova to Candiae, they ate it for about 5-6 days and now don't seem to like it at all, no matter what I mix it with they just pick at it.  Then I thought about Grain Free so i went through a lot of the old posts to see what people have said about it and Evo was brought up a lot but not always with good reviews.  So I'm wondering should I go back to Innova, they did very well on it. and mix it with different canned foods for the different  variety and proteins 4-5 times a week and then 2-3 time a week mix the dry with home cooked?
One more thing I have a 5 month old puppy he weighs about 5 pounds, and probably 8-10 lbs grown. Is it ok if he eats the innova also, since it is a all stage food? ( he does like it)

The canned foods are a good idea.  It's a nice way to put whole meats in your dogs' diet on a regular basis.  Some dogs don't take to some foods.  It's fine.  It's a good idea to try rotating to another food again - but be sure to buy a small bag!

I don't have a good notion about whether small breed puppies benefit from puppy food versus adult food.  I feed my working Border collies adult rations from day one, as it is widely recommended for our breed.  I followed the same protocol with my Chinese crested, but I was using EVO for the three months before she reached pretty much full size.

Last year I missed being caught in the diamond fiasco because while Diamond was in the rotation for my guard dogs, they were not on it at the time.  If I had lost my guard dogs at that time, I would have lost my flock to predators, it being high season for hill coyote incursions.  I've since switched them off cheaper feeds entirely but I had no choice at the time - they eat food by the pound, since they are very large and burn calories at about the same rate as working sled dogs.  I'm a BIG beleiver in spreading my risk exposure around among different foods and feeding approaches, since  then.  And I think it fits the adaptation profile of dogs well, too, as they started out as opportunistic feeders.

I also think the canned food rotation method sounds like a good plan.  If your dogs do well on Innova Evo then great - it's a good food.  Maybe even throw in some Nature's Variety raw medallions.  They come in a variety of meats and I have found they are cheaper than cans. 1 medallion has the same amount of calories and nutrition as a 5oz can of dog food.  There are 50 medallions in a bag at $11 a bag, that comes to $.22 a 5 oz can.  Most 5oz cans of dog food are more then $1.
