Food and medicine?

• Food and medicine? traciandethan Posted : 6/9/2006 8:46:38 PM My Boxer was spayed today, the vet said to give her medicine after she's eaten but she won't eat.  Is it okay to give her the medicine on an empty stomach or is that too bad for her? • M.W.Lewis Posted : 6/10/2006 9:38:46 AM I'm glad to hear that she's doing well today. If so, she may not need the pain medication. Most are NSAIDs anyway and can cause reactions. Keep her quiet though and don't allow her to jump. Also keep an eye on the incision to make sure it's healing normally.
