I read on another post that you feed your Shih Tzu raw.  I have two and I feed mine raw as too.  They LOVE IT and it has really made their coats shinny and beautiful!  I was wondering if you've tried the Nature's Variety Prairie Freeze Dried diet.  I noticed when I give it to my 5 month old that it makes him poop alot!  It doesn't do that to my older one.

NVariety raw patties make my 9 year old dog constipated.  I have to add pumpkin or green veggies to soften it.

I haven't tried the freeze dried by Nature's Variety. My two love the raw medallions though.  My older picky one, Ripper (10 years), likes beef, venison, and chicken.  Razzle (2 years old) scarfs anything that hits the plate. My holistic vet thinks the Prairie N V needs to be supplemented with fruits and veggies because it is 95% meat and bone. So when I use it, I use Barf Fruit and Veggie nuggets as a mixer.  Ripper won't eat many of the other premade raws without a fuss. He wouldn't think of eating a chicken neck or any other part that still looks like the actual animal.  He also won't  eat from a bowl (gotta have a plate) and doesn't eat it if the food is stuck together in a lump! He's my problem child.

That's funny!  I love their names, do you have any pictures?   Mine are Charlie (he's a year and 1/2) & Duke (he's 5 months)  They definately keep me entertained!  I have never attempted raw chicken bones because of the mess.  It's hard enough to keep their furry faces clean just feeding them ground raw meat.  I have a mix I buy from Canada and I chop fresh cooked vegies and add that to the ground meat too - they LOVE it!
