Pressure cooking whole chicken with bones

I was reading in the archives of the old board where Mordanna and several other people said it is safe, and a good alternative to canned, to pressure cook a whole chicken because the bones turn to mush. But I couldn't find anything anywhere that said how long that takes. Any ideas?

I do this occasionally for my guys.  2 hrs at 15lbs pressure does the trick.

Then I add vegs, sometimes rice, whatever I have around and mix it up really well. The bones should just mush.

    Thanks!

I am wondering if there are any nutrients left in it after that much cooking?  Jules

In the posts I read it says that the nutrients in the chicken aren't destroyed by the cooking, and anything that leaches out will leach out into the surrounding material which you'll also be feeding, so it really doesn't matter.

YEs, I use all the juices and everything.

There's a lot of hype about cooked food being "dead" but the dogs still utilize it just fine.  I eat meat crock pot cooked meat all the time, and here I am still alive :)

I just cooked a bunch of chicken legs and thighs in the crock pot for almost 8 or 9 hours and the bones were almost mush!

I used to do this prior to getting my pressure cooker.  Makes the house smell soo good!`
