They eat Avoderm baked, fed once in the evening.  Legend gets 2 cups per day, Julian gets about 1/2 c and Ginger eats about 1/3 c.  All maintain weight on those amounts.   They get chicken strips now and then as treats, and an occasional bit of our dinner shared.

KayCee is a full golden retriever, turned 8 a week ago today, is 66 pounds, has had knee surgery both knees for luxating patellas, is allergic to bermuda grass, live oak pollen, fleas, and almost certainly mold.  We just found that she also has an enlarged heart chamber.

Honey is a golden mix, will be 6 in Dec. is 70 pounds, no allergies, had heartworms when we adopted her almost 5 years ago, but is in perfect health today.

For breakfast they each get just about 3/4 cup of Purina One--kayCee gets Senior and Honey gets weight control.  I add a spoon of yougurt and sometimes a jar of baby food--sweet potatoes, green beans, or squash.  Once in a while I will give them an egg done in microwave.  They each get a fish oil and KayCee gets 2 MSM/gluco caps in a tad of canned food.

For supper, 5 nights a week they get about 1 1/4 cups of their Purina One and a cup or little more, of the chicken stew I make them.  The other two nights they get the same amount of kibble and a can of salmon or mackeral divived between them. They each get a biotin, a milk thistle, a carnberry, a vitamin E, a fish o il except the nights they get fish, and an Ester C  KayCee also gets one blood pressure tablet and two more of the MSM/Gluco caps and 1/2 scoop of Knox Nutra Joint Plus.   Every other day they each get a B Comples and KayCee gets a baby asprin

The crock pot chicken stew i make consists of 5 pounds of chicken thighs, about 3-3 1/2 pounds of chicken necks, and a pound to pound and a half of chicken gizzards, calf liver, or soemtimes ground turkey, a pound bag of frozen French cut green beans, a couple of cored apples (I do leave the peel on), 2 or 3 sweet potatoes, yellow or green squash.  I have been known to use pears instead of apples, and carrots instead of the squash or the beans.

I use Plaque Off oin their water.  All of my dogs have always drank a lot of water.  And the girls especially like it--or seem to-- with the Plaque off.  It has a faint minty scent to it.  The other day i put 4 cups in their water dish--Us an old crock pot ceramnic pot--and KayCee sniffed it and stood there, then when I added the last 2 cups with the Plaque Off, she drank.
