Verus pet foods? Good or not?

Does anyone know anything about this dog food. With all the recalls happening including the ones with ingredients placed unknowingly in the foods it just worries me. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about this brand and if it seems to be a good brand. It appears to include ingredients grown in the US. What do you all think, your advice is greatly appreciated.

BTW - since we are getting into that time of year again for vacations and suck, for those that board their pets please consider supplying your own food or double checking what the boarding facility is feeding your pet and that they are keeping updated with the foods on recall.

It is made locally to me and we fed it for about a month to our new dog. Costwise is close to Canidae and I think Canidae is better so we switched him to Canidae. Overall, it is better than many but others like Canidae and Innova are better than Verus.

I used some the canned foods last year. I liked it pretty well - my dog did better on it than the Wellness cans I used around the same time. I don't remember having any problems with it.
