Evangers anyone?

    Evangers anyone?

Since my dogs' food is now recalledAngry, I'm considering switching to Evangers.  Does anyone have any personal experience with this food?

I only use the canned. I don't have any experience with the dry at all.
    But the canned is GREAT.

Evanger's is a good food.  Just be aware of what you are getting---they offer a lot of canned food that are made for supplemental feeding--not complete and balanced.  They do have comple, balanced dinners as well (duck and sweet potato comes to mind--I know there are more)

The kibble is relatively new to the market---looks good as long as your dog is not sensitive to grain.

My dogs get mostly California Natural dry, but I add some canned.  I may just stop adding any canned food.

Evanger's sent a sample of their pheasant and brown rice dry food when I ordered some game meat from them.  I will probably try it within the next couple of days.  I really want to switch away from Nutro anyway, but I'd have to order the dry online as we don't have any Evangers dealers in the state.

they make lovely cheap canned all-meat formulas that I buy often-- nothing but beef and chicken in them. Excellent for mixing with kibble.

I get Willow the Hunk of Beef all the time.  It is just a topper but it saves me tons of time having to make my own pot roast.

I just got off the phone with Evanger's.  They make there own food.  I'm going to try it.  They are a little high in calories, but that's okay.  I don't trust NB at all right now and my dog is not going to eat that stuff.  Going to buy some Evanger's and see how Jake likes it.  I'm going to try their game meats too since Wellness won't tell me where they make theirs.

We use CN dry kibble here as well, then Evangers or Merrick as a mix in.  I have not used any canned food for a few weeks now and have just been crockpotting.
Sampson likes Evangers game meats and the hunk of beef.  The hunk of beef is like 2.56 a can here so we usually just crockpot beef.  Of the game meats he likes the Pheasant the best.

I've tried the Pheasant and Brown Rice with my dogs, they thought it was tasty. They don't get much kibble..mostly raw, so when they like a kibble it speaks volumes.

I'm going with Evanger's.  I just bought a can of duck and sweet potato and Jake loves it.  I'm going tomorrow to buy more cans.  He also loves the 100% beef.  So I'm going to try this company and see how he does on this food.  They make there own food.
