food for a dog with seizures, gluten free

I have been feeding Maggie (Shih Tzu) Evanger's Duck and Sweet Potato canned with great results. Before that she ate Natural Balance Duck and Potato, also with no problems. I do believe in rotating foods though and I have a few cans of By Nature organics Turkey, sweet Potato and Peas on hand . Does anybody see anything wrong with it? Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything here....Thanks for any input!!

jennie_cd, a member here, will hopefully see this thread and be able to lend a helping hand with advice in feeding your dog.
She has a dog that suffers (or did at one point) from seizures and is VERY knowledgeable about how to feed a dog that has seizures.

    thanks for the replies!
I am a Big fan of Dr. Symes (dogtorj), He has some great information on his site. It may not help every dog out there, but for Maggie his information was a life saver. So, she has been Totally grain free for a few years, and as I said she's doing great. I guess I'm just freaked out about food in general right now and am thinking to myself, why change something that's working. On this new stuff, I'm just not very informed what to look for[:@].  I know to check for gluten free, no kelp, no rosemary. Maybe somebody has input on the formula or sees something that I have missed. Thanks a lot for your time[:)]

I don't see anything that you are missing.  If you decide you want to change foods for any reason, this site lists grain-free foods:

I actually have two cases of that, and have been feeding a can or two here and there (when I run out of homemade food). I don't see any problem, at all, with it. It smells like MEAT, and my dogs love it. They digest it well. Nice poops.

Emma has done dramatically better with the exclusion of grains, as well.

Thanks y'all! I might try a can tomorrow...It helps to know another epi dog is doing well on it. That dogfood project link is great, haven't visited that site in a while.
