8% Fiber?

I let a piece soak all day - like 10 hours. It fell apart, but didn't change in size any more than the one that soaked for an hour.

Jennie, it smells... like... dog food. Not fishy, not strong, not bad, it just smells. The smell attracted the dogs though, and they'll work for the kibbles <-- that's impressive for a couple of the picky butts.

I sent them some questions, depending on the answers I'm going to try it. I'll let you know the results.

8% fiber is not a problem...it really depends on what the fiber is coming from primarily

Well, I asked a whole list of questions and they got back to me quickly with detailed answers. LOVE the service, don't care so much for the product now.

Beet pulp contributes about 3% of the fiber and potatoes contribute about 5%.

There is 12% beet pulp in the food.

We use a small, non-toxic, amount of menadione (2.4 ppm) (ppm = parts per million).
At 2.4 ppm, the menadione given to our dogs and cats is metabolized safely into Vitamin K.

It actually sounds kind of nice and wow, Ben could eat it (though he'd need more protein as usual). I have grown to love simple foods - now more than ever!

Remember that a dog's system is set up to work well with a lot of trash - hair/feathers and insoluble contents of the gut from prey animals. This doesn't mean that Fit-n-Trim of the peanut hull fame is going to make my list of great dog foods, but the theory is sound for dogs that have a touchy GI.
