    Artemis Fresh Mix

I think I'm going to switch Gingerbread to this food. Here are the ingredients and guaranteed analysis for the small breed puppy formula:

I'm really impressed with the ingredients- the first FIVE ingredients are meat sources. [:)] I think the protein and fat percentages are great. I also like the fact that the fruits and veggies are before the vitamins, so it's more than just a trace amount. The only bad thing is that their canned food has brewer's yeast (which Gingerbread is allergic to). I don't understand why some companies put one or two different ingredients in the canned food. EP also has brewer's yeast in their canned foods, but not their kibble.

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone here has tried Artemis or has any feedback?

I haven't tried it, but I've heard it's a GREAT food, but I thought you didnn't like barley.
Was that you or someone else?

Well that's good feedback! [:)] It is me that doesn't like barley. Good memory! I've decided I'm willing to give on that one ingredient since it opens up so many food possibilities.

Well, I'd try it. It sounds fabulous and if you don't mind barley, that's great! Because not minding barley IS going to open doors to different foods for you to try with Gingerbread![:D]

    Luvntzus--

Artemis is one of the few kibble my tzu would eat before we diagnosed his IBD (he would actually eat that and TO Dakota Bison).  He liked the taste but because of his condition he did not do well on it (or any kibble, for that matter).

My neighbor's tzu is fed Artemis and he's doing great. My local pet store sells quite a bit of this product.  If you want to take a chance with barley, go ahead and add it to your rotation.

Let us know how Gingerbread does on this food - it's one of the ones I'm considering switching Zoe to - it's either this, Orijen or Timberwolf - I can get all 3 at a feed store about 15 minutes from my house.

I'll definitely let you know how he does on it! [:)] It'll be a few weeks before I switch over because I want to use the rest of the Wild and Natural first.
